FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 15, 2010 St. George Greek Festival – August 21 & 22, 2010 Don’t Miss It!!! “The World’s Finest Greek Festival!” TM Great Food, Singing, Dancing & Fun LOCATION – The Festival is held on the St. George church grounds at - 1111 Summit Avenue in St. Paul - the corner of Summit Avenue and Lexington Parkway. If you love GREAT FOOD and DRINK, and like to sample FABULOUS ethnic pastries, then don’t miss the 2010 St. George Greek Festival in St. Paul. The St. George Greek Orthodox Church “2010 Greek Festival” will be held Saturday August 21st, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. andSunday August 22nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission to the St. George Greek Festival is always FREE. “The World’s Finest Greek Festival!” TM menu will feature St. George’s world famous Gyros sandwiches, delicious Greek Salad, and our fabulous Dinner Plates including Roast Lamb, Greek Style Chicken, or Souvlakia (“Shish Kebab”) served with rice, salad and bread. Other menu offerings will include Spanakopita (“Spinach Pie”), Tiropita (“Cheese Pie”) and Pastitsio (“Greek Lasagna”). This year we will be offering a new Vegetarian Sandwich. Our “Greek Café” will be serving authentic Greek Coffee and ice-cold coffee drinks. For something sweet, indulge in a baklava ice cream sundae or try our Loukoumades (“Honey Puffs”). The “Bazaar” area will have a variety of items imported from Greece including t-shirts, jewelry, and pottery. You can also purchase beautiful photographs of Greece. Your kids will have a great time with face painting, games and a Moon Walk. The Greek Dancers of Minnesota (http://greekdancersmn.com/) will perform a variety of folk dances from the different regions of Greece and Cyprus. There will be six shows a day on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss these beautiful dance performances. Greek vocalist Dino Adamidis will be joining us again this year; singing everyone’s favorite Greek songs. Hourly Church Tours offer the opportunity to learn about the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church – the oldest Christian church in the world. Although little known in the U.S., Eastern Orthodox Christianity counts more than 250 million faithful - from all corners of the globe!
